European refiners want to buy as much Russian oil as possible for fear of problems with transit through Ukraine.
Hungarian MOL will buy about 900,000 tons of Russian Ural oil in June.
Czech concern Unipetrol, owned by Poland’s PKN Orlen, plans to buy up to 430,000 tons of Ural oil in June.
Russia now delivers oil to Europe only through the southern branch of Druzhba. The southern branch passes through the territory of Ukraine and Belarus.
The delivery of oil through the northern branch of the Druzhba was suspended after Poland and Germany refused to buy Russian energy supplies.
